Aspidistra elatior
Known as the Cast Iron Plant, the Aspidistra is easy to care for and makes an ideal houseplant. It can tolerate low-light and infrequent watering.
Outside, it's long-stemmed deep green leaves adds lushness to any tropical garden, particularly the dry shady spots underneath palms and shrubs.
This clumping plant can grow up to 1m tall and has a spread of 1.5m.
