A large leafed, long stemmed clumping plant with definitely one of the most beautiful flowers in the tropical garden. It is an extremely hardy plant that requires little attention however it appearance is greatly improved by removing spent flowers and damaged leaves.
Strelitzia Reginae grows to approximately 1.3m high and clumps to about 1.5m, it has Blue Green foliage and the classic Orange/Purple-Blue bird of paradise
Strelitzia Nicolai is a massive plant that grows to 10m in height and a diameter 5m wide.
It has an aggressive root structure and should not be grown close to structures or swimming pools. We suggest it be grown in large tubs.
